In August 1941, Marie married Edmund Sherman and they had seven children. She also raised two sisters after the death of her parents.
Marie loved cooking, sewing, cards, puzzles, her special watch dog, Zoey, and most of all her family. She was loved by all who knew her and always had a kind word for all.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Sherman; her parents Frederick and Anna Schneider; five brothers Fred, John, Pete, George and Dan Schneider; three sisters Margret Sherman , Ann Foos and Johannah.
She is survived by her children: Ed Sherman of Gillette, Wyo., Bruce Sherman of Thornton, Colo., Jim Sherman, Judy Sherman, Harry Sherman (Sue), Melody Reighard and Joe Sherman, all of Billings; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Leona Stanhope of Billings and Louise Bonneau of Worden.
Marie will be greatly missed by all who know her, especially her family. The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice and A-Plus Healthcare for all the kindness shared with Marie over the years.
Vigil Services will be 6 p.m. Monday, at Dahl Funeral Chapel and Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Rosary Church. Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
