Elke Morrison, 66, died March 14th, 2019, at home surrounded by loving friends and family. She was born in Staate, Germany, on April 1st, 1952, lovingly raised by Adolf and Doris Rapp, her parents.

She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed singing to her granddaughter in German, summers at the pool, and watching Gillian perform martial arts.

Her passion was down-home cooking, inspired by her German background, that culminated in Elke’s Diner, a mainstay of Vienna. Her smile, comforting meals, and ability to make everyone feel at home in her diner will be missed by friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her biological parents, Otto and Frieda, daughter Gina, and son Jaime.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Jordana, beloved granddaughter Gillian, son in law Joshua Anderson of Parkersburg, sisters Elvira Heinrich and Karin Bergmann of Germany.

She chose to be a part of the WVU Human Gift Registry and help with medical research. A memorial celebration of her life will be held in the near future.
