DORIS (SIEVERT) MESECK
May 13, 1919 - September 7, 2014
Doris S. (nee Sievert) Meseck, 95, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Dry Creek Retirement Facility in Ellensburg, WA.
Born on May 13, 1919 in Ransomville, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Sofia (Schultz) Sievert.
Mrs. Meseck attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1936.
On September 21, 1941, Doris married Milton N. Meseck. He predeceased her on November 4, 2010.
She was employed by Carborundum and later also worked as a Home Health Care Aide.
Mrs. Meseck had been very active in the former Trinity Lutheran Church now Our Savior Lutheran Church and their Mary Martha Society of the Lutheran Women's Missionary.
Mrs. Meseck is survived by one son, Donald (Min-Kyoung) Meseck of Ellensburg, WA and was predeceased by one son, Robert Meseck.
Doris is also survived by two grandchildren, Susan (Charlie) Acheson and Elizabeth Meseck; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Reese; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents; husband; and son; Doris was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys and Esther; and one brother, Donald.
The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, September 13th from 9:00-10:30 AM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where funeral services will begin at the conclusion of visitation at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Glenn Richardson officiating.
Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2759 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
