Franklin D. Stoeltje, 85, and Annie Lois Stoeltje, 84, passed away together on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 as a result of a tragic auto accident. They were married for over 60 years.

Franklin was born June 19, 1933 in Witting, TX to the late Sam Houston Stoeltje, Sr. and Ella Schmidt Stoeltje. He graduated from Shiner High School. He served in the U.S. Army from December 1953 to October 1955 as a radio operator in Germany. After serving he moved to Victoria to attend the Victoria Business School studying accounting. He worked at Groce Wearden for a period of time and later on he went to work for Safety Steel and Commercial Metals. He worked there for 47 years until his retirement. He then did contract auditing for Commercial Metals. He enjoyed golf, tennis, gardening and tinkering with his many projects. He loved to go to flea markets and estate sales collecting clocks. His greatest joy was spending time with family.

Annie Lois was born September 21, 1934 in Gonzales, TX to the late Ben Frank Pinn and Gladys Dora Zumwalt Pinn. She graduated from Gonzales High School. She moved to Cuero with her family and worked at Duke and Aires Five and Dime. She was introduced to Franklin by her sister and brother in law, Helen and Allen. They were married on January 25, 1959 in Cuero, at First Baptist Church. She chose to become a homemaker and a mother. She enjoyed keeping her home welcoming and inviting. She was known for her gentle nature and hospitality. She loved children and family.

In addition to his parents, Franklin is preceded in death by his siblings Jesma Schmidt, Joyce Ummelmann, Irma (Monroe) Hauschild, Hattie (Archie) Buss, Sam (Dorothy) Stoeltje, Jr. and Ella Mae (Adolph) Pesek and their daughter Sharon Pesek.

In addition to her parents, Annie Lois is preceded in death by her siblings Melba (Chester) Burrier and their son Bill; and Ben Frank Pinn, Jr.; as well as brother in law Allen Bethke.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel, 8819 US Hwy 87 North, Victoria, TX. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 106 N. DeLeon, Victoria, TX beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
