Ella Mae (Stoeltje) Pesek, 65, of Victoria passed away Sunday, June 25, 2000.

She was born on February 12, 1935, in Lavaca County to the late Sam Stoeltje, Sr. and Ella (Schmidt) Stoeltje. She attended school in Witting and graduated from Shiner High School in 1953.

She married Adolph Pesek on June 28, 1953, in Moulton, Texas. They resided in Victoria for all 47 years of their married life. She was employed for 29 years at Groce-Wearden and Scrievners Grocery Company as the PBX operator. She was an active member of First English Lutheran Church, being a member of the Ruth Circle. She held many offices in her family reunions and enjoyed entertaining and visiting her many friends and family. She enjoyed her role as wife, mother, sister, aunt, homemaker and caregiver.

She is survived by her husband, Adolph of Victoria; a daughter, Brenda Faye Pesek Marek and husband, Glenn of Temple; a son, Ronnie Lee Pesek and wife, Kellie of Inez, a son, Lonnie Ray ''Buck'' Pesek and wife, Anita of Yoakum; eight grandchildren, Brett Wayne Marek, Melody Autumn Marek, and Storey Spring Marek of Temple, Trenton Lee Pesek and Trevor Jordan Pesek of Inez, Amanda Renee Pesek, Brady James Pesek, and Shelby Kaye Pesek of Yoakum; three sisters, Jesma Schmidt, Joyce Ummelmann, and Hattie Buss of Seguin; a brother, Sam Stoeltje, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Seguin, a brother, Franklin D. Stoeltje and wife Anna Lois of Victoria; a sister-in-law, Valasta Pesek Pirkle and husband Stephen ''Bubba'' of Gonzales. She is aunt to seventeen nieces and nephews and their children.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kaye Pesek Bouldin and a sister, Erma Hauschild.

Visitation for Mrs. Pesek will be Tuesday, June 27, 2000, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 28, 2000, at 10:00 A.M. at First English Lutheran Church, Rev. William ''Bill'' Hassel officiating.

Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Chad Donegan, Arlene Hauschild, Monroe Hauschild Jr., Brian Pirkle, Kevin Pirkle, Ralph Schmidt, Carl Stoeltje, David Stoeltje, Donnie Stoeltje, Sam Stoeltje III and Steven Stoeltje.
