Manuel Romero, 96, passed away May 14, 2019. He was Oct. 17, 1922 to proud parents Manuel and Ninfa Romero; both preceded him in death along with his wife, Cesarita Romero; daughters, Linda Almarez and baby Marie.

Manuel served three years in the Army and was a World War II veteran.

He retired from CF&I Steel Mill, but most important to him was his strong faith and family who were his world.

Manuel is survived by children, Eleanor (Steve) Marquez, Judy Romero, Dorothy Lujan, Martin Romero, Lawrence (Lisa) Romero; daughter-in-law, Vickie Romero; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends that who will dearly miss him.

Rosary, 10 a.m today [Friday, May 17, 2019], with Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m., both at St Gertrude’s Church, 1 Church Plz, Mora, N.M.

Interment at their family cemetery, Guadalupita, N.M. Services entrusted to Rivera Family Funeral Home, Taos, N.M.

Manuel Romero, 96, passed away May 14, 2019. He was born October 17, 1922 to proud parents Manuel and Ninfa Romero both preceded him in death along with, his wife, Cesarita Romero; daughters, Linda Almarez and baby Marie. Manuel served 3 years in the Army and was a World War II Veteran. He retired from CF&I Steel Mill, but most important to him was his strong faith and family who were his world.
