Bob was born in Marysville, KS on November 10, 1945, the son of the late Bertille (Kohl) and Walter O. Zimmerling. On July 30, 1980, in Wamego, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Barbara A. Kraushaar.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Bob an active member of the Leo McMinimy Post #181, Frankfort, KS.
Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barb of the home; two daughters, Shelby (Jon) Lagerquist and Kerri Zimmerling and son, Jim (Hannah) Zimmerling. He is also survived by 6 sisters, 5 brothers and 3 grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers; as well as his parents.
The family requests any donations be directed to Good Shepherd Home Care and Hospice; 3801 Vanesta Dr., Manhattan, Kansas 66503.
