CHRISTIAN RUDOLPH KOEPPEN

Funeral services for Christian R. Koeppen, a retired Town of Meeme farmer, will be held in Zion Lutheran Church, in Louis Corners at 2 p.m. Monday, with Pastor Adalbert Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel after 2 p.m. Sunday, until 10:30 a.m. Monday and from noon at the church.
Mr. Koeppen, who lived on the family homestead farm a mile and a half north of School Hill, died Friday morning at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc. He had been a patient there one week.

Born in Meeme, April 6, 1888, he was a son of Christian R. and Wilhelmina Koeppen. He attended district school and was confirmed in Zion Church at Louis Corners.
He married Alvina Schmidt of the Town of Centerville at her home June 19, 1909. Mr. and Mrs. Koeppen observed their 55th wedding anniversary last month.He was a life long member of Zion Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Elmer, on the home farm; two daughters, Mrs. Arno (Olita) Wagner, Louis Corners, and Mrs. Allen (Caroline) Schwartz, Town of Schleswig, and seven grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.
The family announced establishment of a memorial fund for Zion Lutheran Church.
