He was the son of Aloys and Katherine (Luebke) Walterbusch. On May 17, 1951, he married Helen M. Lange, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sons: John (Bonnie), Dayton, Donald, Portland, Marvin (Jo Ellen), Cincinnati, and Arnold (Laura) Walterbusch, Coldwater; a brother, Bill (Kathryn) Walterbusch, Coldwater; a sister, Mary Helen Rose, New Bremen; four sisters-in-law: Mildred Schmitmeyer, Coldwater, Alvira (Carl) Albers, St. Henry, Evelyn Everman, Wapakoneta, and Marie York, Jupiter, FL; and nine grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, brother and sister, all linked below.
A member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, he was a lifelong farmer who belonged to the Mercer County Farm Bureau, Coldwater Eagles and Coldwater V.F.W. He fought in WWII and received a purple heart medal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
