Mrs. Emma Hurst. 86, a resident of 1010 Hancock St., died Friday evening in Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Hurst had been a resident of Sandusky since 1918 and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, its Mission Society and the Greater Beneficial Union.
Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. William Feltz, Pelee Island, Ontario; Mrs. Paul Fries, Battle Creek, Mich.; Mrs. Ray Renwand, Venice, and Mrs. Rose Mears, Mrs. Dorothy Ramm, Mrs. Gertrude Buell, Mrs. Robert Mears and Mrs. William Maurer, all of Sandusky; 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christian, in May, 1947, and a daughter, Mrs. Emma Bahnsen, in 1957.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Sunday at the Lutz-Suitor Funeral Home, where services are to be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Theodore Stellhorn, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy, if desired, may be made to the Zion Lutheran new church memorial fund.

Services for Mrs. Emma Hurst were held Tuesday afternoon at the Lutz-Suitor Funeral Home, the Rev. Theodore Stellhorn, officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Mears, Donald Schwanger, Harold and Ernest Roth, Thomas Layton and Frank Renwand.
