Immigration backgrounder: Susanna Katharina Butz Trübelhorn & Johann Balthasar Trübelhorn, Jr., and their four daughters Elizabetha (Elizabeth/Lizzie), Emilie (Milly), Maria (Mary) and Amalia (Molly) came to the US June 27, 1903 at the port of Galveston aboard the SS Köln sailing from Bremen on June 4, 1903, with Susanna's parents George Conrad Butz, Sr., and Maria Christina Butz and three of their grandsons and two grand daughters by son Johannes; and and granddaughter Katherina/Catherine Butz (mother is Susanna Butz and father unknown at this time). Katerina/Catherine will later marry Henry Dreith in Denver. This whole group arriving June 27, 1903, was sponsored by George Conrad and Maria Christina’s son Lucas Butz (1861-1935), who immigrated to Globeville in 1892 and made his home at 4465 N. Sherman Street. Lucas also sponsored Conrad Butz (1878 to 1965) to immigrate to Globeville in 1899; Conrad eventually sets up his family’s first Denver home next door to Lucas at 4459 Sherman St. Note: In America they start spelling Trübelhorn as Triebelhorn (others of the family in Denver spell it Tribelhorn and Treibelhorn).
