Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility, age 84 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Sr. in 2003. She is survived by one son, Stephen Jr. (Judy) of Jackson; two grandchildren, Michael (Kirsten) Zyla of Sand Creek, Christine (Arron) Riker of Pleasant Lake; five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary, and Chelsi Zyla, Ashley and Nicholas Riker; one brother, Gib (Carol) Sparks; and one sister, Thelma Hensley, both of Westland; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Zyla was a devote Catholic, enjoyed spending time at the Crouch Center, loved to cook and was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 612. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Catholic Church, Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Father Jim Shaver officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Rosary will be said at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Those who wish may direct contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
