Survivors include his wife, Alice (Bootz) Kettner; his children, Lois Smith, Donald (Shirley) Kettner, Harvey (Faith) Kettner, Elmer (Susan) Kettner, Edward (Kay) Kettner, and Judith (Dennis) Rhyner, all of Wausau, and Darlene (Paul) Habeck, Schofield; his brother, Joseph (Meg) Kettner, Menomonie; and his sisters, Dorothy Weideman and Marie Reed, both of Stratford; 29 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1995 at the Church of St. Michael. The Rev. William N. Grevatch will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau and again from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. A parish vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
