After a lingering illness with tuberculosis Julius Schlesinger passed away last Saturday. His death deprives his family of a loving husband and father.

The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church of which he had been a consistent member. Rev. Nicholson assisted by Rev. J. G. Eaton of Eagle Grove, conducted the services which were attended by a large number of sympathizing friends. His brother Odd Fellows were present in a body. The Rebecca lodge of which Mrs. Schlesinger is a member, was also present. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery.

Following a several months sickness from the dreaded tuberculosis, Julius Schlesinger died at his home in the east part of town about five o'clock Saturday afternoon. The end was not unexpected. Mr. Schlesinger had been sick all winter and was rapidly losing strength. Although all was done that careful nursing and medical science could do, death conquered in the struggle. He expressed himself as the end came quietly and peacefully.

Julius Schlesinger was born in Denmark July 1, 1872. He came to America when a lad of sixteen years of age. On July 19, 1896, he was joined in marriage with Matilda Frisbie. Two children, one son and one daughter, are left besides the wife to mourn his untimely death. A mother and two brothers survive him.

The deceased united with the Baptist church in January 1900 and has lived a consistent christian life since. He was a man respected for his honesty, and uprightness of character, a true friend to all and a kind husband and father.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. –Goldfield Chronicle.
