(The Healing Exchange) Brain Trust, a non-profit organization founded by brain tumor survivors to improve the quality of life for people living with brain tumors. Go to www.braintrust.org to donate online. She was born April 11, 1943 in Flint, the daughter of Steven and Laura Bednarski. Sally, referred to as "Sal" by friends and family, graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Klein, in 1964 and together they raised three children. She had many hobbies ranging from bowling to cooking and even an occasional round of golf, but her favorite thing was taking family vacations. She dubbed her yearly trips to Florida with her sisters and best friend as "Golden Girls Re-Runs" and got much enjoyment from those weeks on the beach. Sally was a selfless person who always put others first. Whether you knew her as a co-worker, a sister, a friend, a mom, a grandmother, or even just a stranger on the street, she was a loving person who always offered smiles, and a listening ear to anyone. People were drawn to her kindness. Sally leaves behind her three children: son, Robert and wife Michelle of Empire, her daughter, Karen Bowman and husband Dwayne of Cornelius, NC, and her youngest son, Doug and wife Christi of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Sawyer Bowman, Sydney Bowman, Sierra Klein, Morgan Klein, and RJ Klein; one brother, Jim Bednarski and wife Deby; her mother, Laura Bednarski; countless nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law; and dear friends. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Klein; and her father, Steven Bednarksi. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many family members and friends who supported us through this difficult journey. It is clear that Sally's infectious caring and concern for others filtered into each of our own hearts. They say that the journey is the reward and Sally most definitely had an incredible journey. Thanks to all of you who were along for the ride. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
