On Saturday, July 14, 2007, the gates of Heaven opened up for our beloved mom, Margarita Ortega Arellano. She was 80 years old. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister to her family. Margarita was known for her fashionable sense of style and for her love of baking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Teodoro A. Arellano, her daughter, Maria Del Socorro Arellano and her son-in-law, Luis Ayala.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her best friend and sister, Gloria O. Chapa; her daughter, Margarita A. Ayala; two sons, Ted O. (Velma) Arellano and Emeterio (Maria) Arellano Sr. all of Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services held Jul 20 at Seaside Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated Jul 21 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment followed at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers: John Paul Arellano, Teddy Arellano, Emeterio Arellano Jr., Allen Tapia, Juan Chapa and Roel Chapa.
