Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the age of 98 years.
The daughter of the late Henry and Hilda (Zutz) Bielert was born on September 11, 1921 in Saginaw. She married Harold N. Kabat on February 10, 1945; he predeceased her on October 1, 1973. Amanda enjoyed reading, watching her favorite TV channel, CNN, crafting and cherished time spent with her family.
Surviving are her sons: James Robert (Arlene) Kabat, John Edward (Carol) Kabat, her daughter-in-law Emma Sue Kabat, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, her siblings: Roland R. Bielert, Emanuel (Carl) Bielert, Paul Bielert, Hildegard (Orville) Adolph, Margaret Williamson, Raymond (Sharon) Bielert and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Amanda was predeceased by two sons: William P. Kabat, Ricky L. Kabat, her siblings: Walter (Charlotte) Bielert, Emma (Fred) Bekemeier, Bertha Martha (Erwin) Rausch, Frieda (Wilbur) Cook, Alfred (Clara) Bielert, Otto (Peggy) Beilert, two sisters-in-laws: Katy Bielert and Marietta Bielert and her brother-in-law James Williamson.
Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
