Roland Rudolph "Rollie" Bielert was born in Blumfield Twp. on June 11, 1923 to the late Henry and Hulda (Zutz) Bielert. He passed away at the Tuscola Co. Medical Care Facility on March 7, 2022 at the age of 98 years. His wife Katy Lou (Miller) Bielert preceded him in death. Rollie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was a member of the VFW of Michigan and the American Legion. He was retired from Buick Motor Div. in Flint.
Survivors include his children: Chick & Bud Rowe, Doug and Be-Bom Bielert and Tim and Jeanette Bielert; his grandchildren: Steven & Connie Martin, Sara Bielert, Lanay & Brandon Jacobs, Melody & Paul Siwek, Travis & Christine Bielert, and Amber & Eddie Pierce; his great grandchildren: Hudson, Scarlet & Montagne Jacobs, Juliana, Francesca, Lucia Siwek & John Paul Timothy Siwek and Jaden & Noah Bielert; his sisters: Dolly Adolph and Margaret Williamson and brother Raymond Bielert; his favorite nieces Dee-Dee and Dawn Worth. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer L. Bauer, a great granddaughter Anjela Bauer, a nephew Alan Worth and his siblings: Walter, Emma, Martha, Frieda, Alfred, Otto, Amanda, Emanual and Paul.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and burial will be at Tuscola Twp. Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made Grace Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by Penzien-Steele Funeral Home in Vassar.
