Alex Kara, 86, a resident of the Lorain Convalescent Home for the fourteen years preceding his death, died there on 11/30/1961 after a long illness. He was born in Hungary on 8/20/1875 and came to the United States in 1891. He had lived in the Lorain Ohio vicinity for the past 66 years.
He was formerly employed as a farm hand and, also, at one time had worked at the National Tube Company steel plant, Lorain Ohio.
The only survivors were two nephews, John Kara of Lorain Ohio, and Mike Kara of Elyria Ohio.
Calling hours and funeral services were held at the Bodzash Funeral Home, Lorain Ohio, with the Reverend Valentine A. Toth, pastor of the Hungarian United Church, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain Ohio.
