SEIBEL, CHARLOTTA (REIMCHE)*
"MRS. SEIBEL BURIED
The funeral of Mrs. Seibel, wife of Ludwig Seibel of near this city was held from the M. B. Church, Tuesday, January 20th, 1914, and was one of the largest funerals ever held in the county. Many friends and relatives from a distance were present and joined with the people of McClusky in paying the last mark of respect to an estimable lady.
Charlotte Reimche was born in southern Russia on December 20th, 1855, and died January 14th, 1914, at the age of 58 years and 26 days after an illness of only 21 days.
She was married in Russia to Ludwig Seibel at the age of 16 years, and with her husband, came to this country in 1875, landing in New York, and then coming to North Dakota and settling near what is now McClusky where they have since resided, and by their industry built a nice home surrounded by many acres of cultivated land that was the admiration of eastern land seekers. Here 17 children were born to them, six of whom preceded their mother in death, and 11 with the husband are left to mourn for a faithful wife and mother.
Their services were conducted by Rev Freigang of Turtle Lake, and the remains were laid away for rest in the little cemetery northwest of town.
The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community in their loss of a good wife and mother, and she will be long remembered as a good Christian woman and kind neighbor."
