BECHTHOLD, LOUISA (REIMCHE)
Mrs. Louise Bechthold, 93, longtime former resident of Lodi, died yesterday morning in Santa Clara following a long illness. A native of the Crimea, Mrs. Bechthold was brought to Lodi with her parents in 1908 after living for a brief period in Harvey, N.D. She lived in this city until 1953, when she moved to Santa Clara to live with her daughter, Mrs. Martha Northrup. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lodi. The widow of the late George Bechthold of Lodi, Mrs. Bechthold was the mother of Charles Bechthold of Oakland; Albert Bechthold, Niles; Mrs. Louise Bick, Harvey, N.D.; Mrs. Emma Dahl, San Jose; Mrs. Bertha Nelson, San Jose; Mrs. Ruby Pomponio, Stockton; Mrs. Mabel Snyder, Lodi and Mrs. Northrup of Santa Clara. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Lodi, with the Rev. G.G. Rauser and the Rev. C. Sands of San Jose officiating. Burial will be in the Lodi Cemetery under the direction of the Lodi Funeral Home.
