Was number 4 of 9 children born to Daniel and Katherine (Warner) Dahm. He was born near Kohlsville, Wis., from there he moved with his parents to Marshall County, KS where he grew up to manhood in the Swede Community. On April 19, 1883, he was married to Miss Elisa Bente. To this union, nine children were born, two died in infancy and one in young manhood. The six who survive are Henry, Ludwig, William, Mrs. Lena Benteman, Mrs. Ellen Hancock, and Marie More. Daniel passed away in a Topeka, Shawnee Co. Hospital.
