She was born in Van Wert County, Ohio on January 16, 1933 to the late Walter & Anna (Kirchenbauer) Fegley.
Betty married Leonard P. Egly on December 27, 1952.
Surviving are her husband Leonard P. Egly of Decatur; a son Philip D. Egly of Ft. Wayne; two daughters Mrs. Joyce (Charles) Brockhall of Leo, IN and Pamela S. Price of Decatur; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Betty was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and also a homemaker.
Calling hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services at the church.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Zion United Church of Christ. Rev. Randy Rossman will be officiating with burial to follow in Decatur Cemetery.
