Professional Football Player. A wide receiver, his career spanned from 1967 to 1974 with the Kansas City Chiefs (1967-1970), Dallas Cowboys (1971), Oakland Raiders (1972), and the Cleveland Browns (1972-1974). Born Gloster Van Richardson, he played football at Coleman High School and then Jackson State College, where he was made All-Conference twice. Selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 7th round of the 1965 AFL draft, he was on their taxi squad for the next two years before making the team. He played on Coach Hank Stram's 1969 team that won Super Bowl IV and was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in 1971 where he played sparingly, but was part of the Cowboys' Super Bowl VI championship. Traded to the Oakland Raiders prior to the start of the 1972 season and then the Cleveland Browns, he saw little playing time and retired after the end of the 1974 season. During his NFL career, he played in 92 games (14 starts) with 92 reception for 1,965 yards and 18 touchdowns. From 1983 to 1984 he served as a wide receiver coach for Mississippi Valley State College. He died at the age of 78.
