Mr. Grunewald was owner of the Grunewald Hotel which later became the Roosevelt Hotel, and then the Fairmont Hotel, which at Christmas time had one of the most magical beautiful lobbies in the Country, decorated with angel hair the length of the lobby which ran an entire city block. The hotel was heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina and has been closed since. The Grunewald family tomb is located next to the miniature Gothic chapel of A. Monteleon.
