Quinten Peter Hinnenkamp was born on January 14, 1926, to William and Elizabeth Angelbeck Hinnenkamp in Melrose, Minnesota. He grew up and received his education in Melrose. He was united in marriage to Ann Deters, on June 8, 1948, in Elrosa. In 1950, they moved to the Litchfield area where he engaged in farming. Pete was a dedicated custodian at St. Philip's Catholic Church from 1965 until 1988. He was an active member at Church of St. Philip and the Knights of Columbus. Pete enjoyed playing cards and loved family activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother, Elmer and sisters, Adele Hoffman, Josephine Welle and Rita Herges.
