Ardelle was born in Port Washington August 7, 1911 the third child of William and Anna (Herman) Stricker. She came to Sheboygan as a young girl and attended local schools.
Following high school she was employed at the H.C. Prange Company. It was there that she met the love of her life, Frank Mordhorst. They were married June 29, 1940 and celebrated 66 years together before he preceded her in death July 27, 2006.
Ardelle is survived by her daughter Patricia (Peter) Fetterer and their three children Jim (Lori) Fetterer, Sheboygan, and their three children Indigo, Sydney and Koval; Jeff (Sarah Standiford) Fetterer, Richmond, ME, and Jennifer (Blake) Paulson, Louisville, Ky and their son, Arik, who was born the same day that Ardelle left this life. The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh Away. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Laura Stricker, Port Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Ardelle was preceded in death by five siblings, Art Stricker, William Stricker Jr., Adeline Gilson, Arwin Stricker and Arnold Stricker.
Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum at Lutheran Cemetery.
