Meletta Wilkins Kisner, 82, Topeka, died Monday, Nov. 4, 1996 at a Topeka nursing home. Mrs. Kisner had worked for Seymours and was a drug distributor.

She was born Nov. 27, 1913 north of Seneca, the daughter of Charles and Nellie Kaserman Wilkins.

She lived most her life in Topeka. Mrs. Kisner was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Rebekah Lodge No. 116.

She married George A. Kisner on April 6, 1931 in Topeka. He died Feb. 10, 1972. A son, George L. Kisner died June 3, 1979.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy M. Burdett, Topeka; five sisters, Leota Thornton, Pawnee, Neb., Irene Botkins, Albuquerque, N.M., and Alberta Miller, Virginia Newlee and Dora Hartzell, all of Topeka; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Chapel. An Eagles Memorial services conducted by the Eagles Auxiliary will follow. Mrs. Kisner will lie in state after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606.
