Dorothy F. Sullivan, 79, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully Monday, April 23, 2007, with her family by her side in the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Township, after a four-day illness. She was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Harrison Township, a daughter of the late Marcel and Helen (Turowski) Gaworski, and lived the past 32 years in Natrona Heights. She retired in 2003 after working many years as a waitress at Anchor Inn Rest, Natrona Heights. She was recognized as an outstanding and well-liked waitress in the community and took pride in her profession. Our beloved Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Worship Site, Natrona Heights, and also PNA, Natrona. She enjoyed working and talking with people and will be remembered for her pleasantness and generosity. Over the years, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going to casinos and traveling with family members. She is survived by two brothers, Edward (Anne) Gaworski, of Fawn Township, and Ted J. Gaworski, of Lower Burrell; sisters, Irene Kesler, of Vandergrift, Marcella Scalise, of New Kensington, Jane Collings, of Tarentum; and a sister-in-law, Evie Gaworski, of Natrona Heights. She was adored by nieces, Sharyn Gallagher, Paula Shaheen, Kristin Hepler, Bonnie Collings, Pamela Tantlinger and Cathy Mazary; and nephews, Terry and Jamie Gaworski, Bill Kesler and Mark and Anthony Scalise. Also survived by numerous great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E.P. "Sully" Sullivan, on July 27, 1978; infant son, David J. Sullivan, in 1961; brothers, Alfred "Fritz," Joseph and Thomas Gaworski; brothers-in-law, William Collings and Frank Scalise Sr.; and nephews, Curtis Kesler and Frank Scalise Jr. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME, Tarentum. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Most Blessed Sacrament Worship Site, Natrona Heights, with the Rev. Gary W. Krummert, Parochial Vicar, as celebrant. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
