On the 1920 census she was shown as living alone on Grant Ave; however next door or in the same house was her son Robert. He was married and his wife's name was Daisy, also born about 1898. They had one child, Frances Thelma, born about 1919. Robert H. died 17 June 1969, age 71, Daisy E. died 14 Dec. 1968, age 76.
When the Bickel estate was settled in 1917, Carrie received the farm house and an adjoining 2 1/2 acres. The Bickel property joined the Wirth property and cornered on Hess Lane east of Preston.
