Earl Damon Black Sr., 70, Oak Grove, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at his residence. A memorial service is at 2:30 p.m. Friday at his home, with the Rev. Eddie McDonald officiating. The remains will be cremated. Visitation is Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Oak Grove. Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

He was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Grays, Ky., son of Ernest Black and Reuble Gilley Black. Mr. Black was a retired Army sergeant, having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Black; two sons, Ronald Keith Black, Illinois, and Earl D. Black Jr., Ohio; a daughter, Evelyn D. Black, Oak Grove; a sister, Rosemary Coleman, Xenia, Ohio; and 20 grandchildren.
