Obit. Schuetz, Dorothy (1901-1988)
Mrs. Dorothy Schuetz, 86, of Marcus, died Friday, Nov. 18, 1988 at a nursing home in Le Mars after a long illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Marcus. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Remsen, under direction of the Roethler Funeral Home of Marcus.
Mrs. Schuetz was born Nov. 30, 1901, in Plymouth County. She was the daughter of Barney and Elizabeth Meyer. She married Albert Schuetz Feb. 26, 1919, at Remsen. He died June 22, 1980.
She was a member of Holy Name Church, St. Ann's Guild and Catholic Daughters of America in Remsen.
Survivors include a son, Francis Schuetz of Marcus and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ralph in 1981; a granddaughter, Darlene in 1976, seven brothers and a sister.
