Edward G. Meyer, 75, 2905 Garretson Ave., died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. He was born Sept. 24, 1893, at Marcus, Iowa. He moved to Le Mars, Iowa and later to Sioux City in 1942. He married Theresa Peter in May, 1953, in Sioux City. He worked at Sioux Tools (formerly Albertson & Co.) for years. He also worked for the Sioux City Parks Department for several years. Mr. Meyer was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church In Sioux City and the Knights of Columbus of Le Mars. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Ronald of Turner, Ore., and Virgil of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Marian) Anderson and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Skinner, both of Sioux City; two brothers, Louis of Berkeley, Calif., and Fred of Madison, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Dora Schuetz of Remsen, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home In Morningside.

Funeral services for Edward G. Meyer, 75, 2905 Garretson Ave., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Frank Brady will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home In Morningside. Pallbearers will be Julius and Louis Goergen, Ralph, Francis and Lyle Schuetz, and Wayne Meyer. The Rosary will be recited by parishioners at 7 o'clock tonight at the funeral home and by the Knights of Columbus of Le Mars. Iowa, at 7:30 o'clock. Mr. Meyer died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
