HERMANSON, Jack "Hermie" (1917-2008) S/L Retired RCAF WWII Veteran Peacefully April 4 at the Perley & Rideau Veterans' Health Centre (PRVHC), surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of 67 years of Helen (Sinclair) Hermanson residing at the PRVHC Room 291 Ottawa 2 West, cherished father of Gerald (deceased 1976) and his wife, Jan (NS), Glennis Williams (Florida), Julie Vout (Bob) and Cher Hermanson (Dan) (Ottawa). Our "Punster Extraordinaire" with devilish blue eyes, ready wit and chivalrous character will be greatly missed. Always the life of the party, he is probably organizing one right now. Cremation. No service. Remembrance gathering of friends and family TBA. Grateful thanks to the staff at the PRVHC for the attentive care provided during his residency. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the PRVHC, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa K1G 5Z6. "Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings..."
