He was born August 29, 1944 in Watauga County to the late Ernest Glenn Triplett and Easter Carlton.
He was also preceded by a sister, Nancy Sue Triplett Hartley.
He was a sander with Hickory Business Furniture and a member of Fairgrove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Bradberry Triplett of Hickory; son, Bobby (Lora) Triplett; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jackalene Ward, Willa Dean (Clay) Rich, Wilma Jean Lawhon and Bonnie (Gary) Farr; brother, Marshall (Dawn) Triplett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor David Bean and Carter Randall with military honors provided by American Legion, post 130.
Interment will follow in Rhymer Cemetery.
