Fabian Tovar, 65, of Taylor died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Round Rock Medical Center.
Rosary will be recited 7 PM, Friday at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life Mass will be 2 PM, Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Rev. Tom Chamberlain will officiate and the eulogy will be given by Pastor Uvaldo Gonzalez. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
Fabian was born on January 20, 1937 to Pablo and Tomasa (Esparza) Tovar in Waelder, Texas. In 1961, Fabian moved to Taylor and in March of 1961 he married Josie Villanueva in Austin, Texas . He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Fabian was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Fabian is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Tomasa Tovar; four brothers, Joaquin, Jacinto, Pablo, Jr., and Guadalupe Tovar and one sister, Juana Sosa.
Survivors include his wife, Josie Tovar of Taylor; six children, John Arthur Tovar, Angela T. Trevino and husband Paul, Ermelinda T. Aguilar and husband Jose, Jaime Tovar and wife, Cintia, Lourdes T. Aguilar and husband Abel, and Lucinda Tovar, all of Taylor; nine siblings, Fabiana Herrera and Isabel Tovar of Stafford, Evaristo Tovar and wife Betty of Archer, Victorio Tovar and wife Juana and Wenseslavo Tovar and wife, Avelina, all of Waelder, Jose Tovar and wife Natividad of Austin, Clara Rosas and husband Froutuso of Stafford, Nicolas Tovar of Waelder and Mere Barrera and husband Pablo of Pasadena; nine grandchildren, Yvonne M. and Lisette N. Trevino and great-grandson, Brandon Fabian Pachicano; Ernesto Aguilar and Jessica Aguilar; Benjamin Jaime Tovar; Christina, Alejandra, Nicolas and Jacob Aguilar.
