Henrietta was the daughter of Johann & Anna Niehaus Walkenhorst. On 05 Oct 1849, she married August Meyer.

They were the parents of 9 children-Heinrich Dietrich, Ludwig August Gustav, Christina Catherina Dorothea (Evert), Maria Louisa Sofia (Bruns), Carolina Wilhelmina (Elsner), Wilhelm Heinrich Caspar, Louisa Sofia (Elsner), Catherina Anna (Hemme), and Heinrich Friedrich Johann.
