August Ziebell, 72, 250 Pearl street, passed away this morning at 8:45 o'clock at his home after a lingering illness.
He was born May 3, 1859, In Germany, and came to the United States as a boy. In April. 1887, he married Miss Emelie Hartmann of the town of Eldorado, Fond du Lac county.
Survivors are two sons, Edwin, of Appleton, and Harvey Ziebell, of Oshkosh; six daughters. Mrs. Frieda Gohsman, Mrs. Laura Koehn. Mrs. Elsie Schaulk, Miss Erna and Miss Viola Ziebell. all of Oshkosh, and Mrs. Esther Fincke, of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Leo Meyer, of Oshkosh; and a brother. Leopold Ziebell, Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at Christ Lutheran church. Rev. O. M. Weng officiating. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the home from Saturday afternoon to the time of the rites.
