Charles A. Vincent, well known in Valparaiso, where he was a frequent visitor, died March 6 at his home in River Forest, Ill.
He was a brother of the late Dr. A. W. Vincent and James Vincent, of Valparaiso, and an uncle of the Misses Cora and Ella Vincent, of Valparaiso.
The decedent was born on a farm near Hobart, Ind., on Feb. 12, 1859, the youngest and last surviving member of a family of 11 children born to Martin and Mercy (Pierce) Vincent. On Dec. 24, 1885, he was married to Margaret Cizek, at Chesterton. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary in December.
Besides his widow he is survived by three children, Mrs. Alice Hatford, of Porter, Ind.; Charles F. Vincent, Michigan City, and John M. Vincent, Los Angeles, Calif. There are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held March 9 at the Zimmerman chapel in River Forest, with burial in Woodlawn cemetery, River Forest.
