Mrs. Mary Louise Davenport Clinkscales, 92, of LaGrange, GA passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Clinkscales was born on April 6, 1928 in Anniston, AL, daughter of the late James S. and Conola Davenport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Clinkscales and a son, Kyle W. Clinkscales.

Mrs. Clinkscales was a graduate of Anniston High School in 1946. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square, LaGrange, GA. She was a member of the National Campers Hikers Association (NCHA) and the Troup Travelers Camping Club. Mrs. Clinkscales and her husband initiated the "Find Me, Inc." program which was recognized by President Ronald Reagan at the White House.

Mrs. Clinkscales will be missed by all that knew her. Her kind, generous, and compassionate spirit was genuine and characteristic of the Christian life she lived. To know her was to love her.

Mrs. Clinkscales is survived by her sister, Martha Morrison (Dan); nieces, Cindy Burns (John) and Darla Morrison; great nieces, Meaghan DeJarnatte (Curtis), Lauren Murphy (Jonathan), Kristen Walker (RJ), and Katie Brown; great nephew, Michael Burns (Olivia); "special daughter", Sherri Hart; and a host of extended family members and special friends.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Paul Baxter, Pastor Cade Farris, and Rev. Paul Blair officiating.

The family requests that everyone in attendance for the funeral service wear a face mask and social distance from one another.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the employees of Comfort Care, Wellstar Medical Center, and West Georgia Hospice for the excellent care, compassion, and service they provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons, Helping Hands of First Baptist Church on the Square, West Georgia Hospice, or to your favorite charity in memory of Mrs. Mary Louise Davenport Clinkscales.
