Charles Richard Davis, age 68 of River, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 14, 1952 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Rev. Manford Davis & Vinna Webb Davis. He is the husband of Judy Carroll Davis. He was a retired coal miner for Excel Mining Corp. Along with his wife he is survived by his Son: Bubby (Missy) Davis of River, Kentucky; Daughters: Melanie Davis of Lexington, Kentucky & Terri (Brian) Hopson of Paintsville, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Shelby, Morgan, Parker, Jules & Trey; Great Grandchild: Brixon; Brothers & Sisters: James Howard Davis of Michigan, Clarence Davis of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, William Davis of Dandridge, Tennessee, Phoebe Sowards of Ecorse, Michigan, Irene Stephens of Allen, Kentucky & Loretta Henderson of Heath, Ohio. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his Brothers & Sisters: Harold Davis, Eugene Davis, Taulbe Davis, Elmer Davis, Johnny Davis, Delbert Davis, Earnestine Clay & Mary Ruth Clay. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 5pm at the church
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1pm at Inez Free Will Baptist Church, Inez, Kentucky with Bubby Davis officiating
Burial will follow Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 5pm at the church
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1pm at Inez Free Will Baptist Church, Inez, Kentucky with Bubby Davis officiating
