DORA "DOREEN" DIERDORF, 87, of Fairway Mews, SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, at Geraldine Thompson Care Center, Wall. Doreen was a well known singer and had performed for many years at many of the clubs and hotels at the Jersey Shore. She had also owned Doreen Fashions, Jersey City, a fashionable dress shop, for many years. Born in Santa Croce, Italy, she came to the U.S. in 1920 as a baby, and had lived in Ridgewood for many years before moving to Spring Lake Heights 25 years ago.

She was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Dora Mascia Salvini; and her two brothers, Robert and Armando Salvini. Surviving are her loving husband of 35 years, Frank Dierdorf; her devoted son and his wife, Frank J. and Susan Nitti Jr. of Flanders; her two stepdaughters, Ellen Kane of San Diego, Calif. and Susan Becker of Winchester, Mass.; her brother, Angelo Salvini of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; her two sisters, Sylvia Bergner of Secaucus and Helen Farkas of Wall; and her three beloved grandchildren, Frank J. III, Amanda and Michelle Nitti.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the O'Brien Funeral Home, Route 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private committal will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ronald McDonald House, 3925 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, N.Y., 10016.
