Vernon – Mrs. Margaret R. Kobler, 84, of Rt 26, died early Friday evening, June 23, 1995 at Rome City Hospital after being stricken at home.
Mrs. Kobler was born Sept 12, 1910 in Fish Creek, daughter of Lewis and Pauline Brutcher Roser. She was educated in the Rome School System and on April 11, 1934, in Rome married Warner H Kobler. Mr. Kobler died Oct 22, 1977.
Mrs. Kobler was a homemaker and along with her husband, owned and operated Kotler's Farm. Mrs. Kobler was a member of the Lowell United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Marjorie Lacell of Vernon and Thelma and George Conley of Rome; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne and Darlene Kobler of Hubbardsville, Bert and Nancy Kobler of West Edmeston, and Paul and Carol Kobler of Vernon. Also one sister, Eleanor Smith of Rome; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Roser of Taberg and Eva Kobler of St. Petersburg, Florida; 25 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Lowell United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front St., corner of N. Sconondoa St., Vernon on Monday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. In Mrs. Kotler's memory, contributions may be made to the Lowell United Methodist Church.
