We are sorry to hear that Mrs. Labouchere, mother of the Right Hon. H. Labouchere, died on Sunday last, at her residence, in Upper Grosvenor-street, London.
While she was buried at Stoke Poges, there is a large memorial tablet to her and her husband at the church in Over Stowey, Somerset. There is a photo of that memorial attached to this page, with the following inscription:
Sacred to the Memory of
P. C. Labouchere, Esq.
of Uplands, in the County of Essex,
who died Janry. 16th 1839
Aged 68 Years
This Tablet is erected by his Sons
Henry and John Labouchere.
Also to the Memory of
Dorothy Elizabeth Labouchere,
His Wife, and Daughter of
Sir Francis Baring Bart.,
of Stratton Park in the County of Hants,
She died on the 15th May 1859, Aged 88.
"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord:
- and their works do follow them."
