Herman J. Hermie Rueger, of Antigo, WI, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 73years old

He was born June 27, 1935 in Antigo, son of the late Herman and Elsie (Simmons) Rueger
He married the former Marilyn Strube. They later divorced and remained friends.

He served in the U. S. Army in an engineering company.
He belonged to the Teamsters Union for many years. He lived in Antigo and was employed by Schneider Tank Lines of Appleton for 31 years, retiring in 1995. In his retirement he drove truck for his good friend Floyd Mattesen.of Elderon.. He enjoyed bowling, attending country music festivals, spending time in the woods, camping, snowmobiling, a love for his pets, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are 4 sons, Randy (Linda) Rueger , David ( Shelly) Rueger, John (Missy) Rueger, Dan (Terri) Rueger, 2 daughters, Gail (Ed) Thompson, Kathy Tesch all of Oshkosh; 3 sisters, Ida Kahn Palmyra, Gertrude Fitch LaCrosse, Sharon (Thomas) Sinkler Antigo; brother, Harold (Nancy) Rueger Antigo; 13 grandchildren Brian (Dawn), Erin, Eric, Bradley, Michael, Bennet, Reese, Allison, Ryan ,Jesse, Taylor, April, Meranda; also survived by his long time special friend, Carolyn Hitz of Merrill.

He was preceded in death by parents, infant daughter Donna, 2 brothers; William and Leonard Rueger, 1 sister, Mary Henry.
Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home Hwy 45, Antigo, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Audrey Alexander officiating.
