Obituary
On April 15th the Goodman children lost their father Johnny L. Goodman. Johnny was born to Molly and John Goodman on December 23, 1940 in Billings, Montana.
Johnny was raised and went to school in Billings. He graduated from Senior High School.
Johnny was an avid fisherman, hunter and lover of the great outdoors. Who also enjoyed cruising the town with his buddies. It was while burning the point in Laurel that he met the love of his life, Rosa Lee Olson.
Johnny and Rosie were married on September 2, 1960 and were blessed with 3 intelligent, well behaved, mild mannered, and amazing children.
Johnny started his career at Montana Dakota Utilities as a dispatcher, where he moved through the ranks retiring in 1996 as Laurel's District Manager. It is at MDU where Johnny created many life- long friends who also enjoyed his zest for classic cars, a cold beer, and a great Christmas tree adventure.
Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved Rosie, his parents John and Molly, his sister Virginia and her husband Russell, and In-laws Ila and Ken.
Johnny is survived by his sister Caroline, brother Jim, sister-in-law Betty, several nephews & nieces, and brother-in law, Ken & Peg. His 3 children; Jody and Kathy (Nauman), Stephanie Goodman, and Michelle and Harry (Bowers). His Grandchildren Brandy and Nicolas (Metzger) and Brookie Goodman and Dexter Trask. Last be not least, his sweet bundle of joy Great- Granddaughter Lena Mae…
It is our wish that dad is remembered as we will remember him; a stubborn German with a quick wit who enjoyed a good prank, sharing stories of his days fishing and hunting, along with outings with his family and friends. He had a very unique vocabulary "Went to K-Marks, ran into my Cousant and we visited about the good ole'days, the state of the world with Covius, and Govenor Gregenfront ahh whatever the heck his name is, then I finished my outing with a quick to trip Loels". Dad gave the best hugs which he shared often and with many. He was Uncle Johnny to most but Gramps to special few. Dad could not walk and chew gum at the same time but boy oh boy could that man hum!
Johnny's children are respecting his wishes by not holding a service; however, they will be taking him to rest with Rosie under the pine trees at Hebgan Lake.
