St. Marys.--Joseph E. AUBERT, 76, died Tuesday at his home here after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 1, 1889, the son of Joseph A. and Pyrena Anthony Aubert. He spent all his life in the St. Marys community. He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Lodge 657 at St. Marys.
He was married to Alice Hale, Sept. 7, 1910 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at St. Marys.
A son, Clyde Aubert, was killed Nov. 24, 1944, in action during World War II.
Besides his wife, survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Mulford and Mrs. Clara Kennedy, both of Emmett, Mrs. Anna Vershelden, St. Marys, and Mrs. Theresa Kullchawick, Chicago, Ill; two sons, James Aubert, St. Marys and Edwin Aubert, Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Sister Anthony, Denver, Colo.; two brothers, George Aubert, Wamego, and Wilburn Aubert, Paxico; 35 grandchildren and eight-great-grandchildren.
Requiem mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church at St. Marys with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery at St. Marys.
