MRS. CLARA RISCH SALANGER, of 514 E. Laurel St., died yesterday at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Salanger was a native and lifelong resident of Syracuse. She was the widow of Francis M. Salanger. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Syracuse Liederkranz Auxiliary, the Crouse-Irving Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star, Syracuse Chapter 70. Mrs. Salanger is survived by a son, Bernard R. Salanger; four grandchildren and a nephew. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Callahan-Hanley-Mooney Funeral Home, 101 Milton Ave., the Rev. Frank Shimer officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the funeral home. The family requests contributions to be made to the Memorial Fund of the First English Lutheran Church.
