Richard Edwin Chojnacky was born January 8, 1963 in Jerome, Idaho to parents, Lee and Mildred Chojnacky.
He passed away January 15, 2021 in Twin Falls, Idaho of a cardiac arrest after nearly six weeks recovering from a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
Richard lived his entire life in Jerome and graduated in 1981 from Jerome High School. He then graduated from CSI with an auto mechanic degree. He farmed with his dad and two brothers north of Jerome growing wheat, beans, potatoes, corn, and alfalfa.
Richard was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church and a life-long member of the National Trapper's Association and the Idaho Trapper's Association.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred (Nutsch) Chojnacky; and his siblings, Carolyn Chojnacky of Jerome; Ronald (Andrea) of Glenrock, Wyoming; David (Cindy) of Hailey, Idaho; Michael (Marcia) of Jerome; Mary (Chuck) of Boise, Idaho; Steven (Debbie) of Boise, Idaho; Gerald (Anne) of Jerome; and Susan (Todd) of Salt Lake City, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Chojnacky in 2009.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 21, 2021 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 216 2nd Ave East, Jerome, with a viewing beginning at 10:30 am. Graveside service will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.
