Sophia Wells, 97, funeral will be held Monday at Neligh with burial in Laurel Hill cemetery. She died Wednesday, March 3, 1993 at Neligh. She was born Jan. 15, 1896 at Hallam to Dietrich and Margaret Asslen.*** She was married on June 7, 1914 to Elmer Wells. "They farmed north of Neligh many years." She was survived by 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 sister Emma Schneider at Wayzata, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons.
